What is Anesthesia?
Some people have a psychological fear of dental treatment, so we offer such patients a reliable and easy solution – sedation or general anesthesia.
Sedation
Sedation is a safe, medicated suppression of consciousness throughout the procedure that helps to overcome anxiety and a feeling of fear. It is performed by a qualified anesthesiologist. Sedation can be utilized if the patient is unable to sit quietly in the dentist’s chair, has a strong feeling of nausea, yawning or gnawing, a low pain threshold, or very sensitive teeth.
General anesthesia
Our patients can choose to be completely asleep during surgery. After anesthesia, your safety will be monitored in our postoperative VIP ward by an experienced intensive care nurse and an anesthesiologist. Anesthesia can also be used for procedures with children.
